My husband has recently received a letter from Mr. Collins, suggesting that Mr. Darcy and Lizzy would engage in marriage. This statement is astonishing. I could not have predicted that Darcy had interest in my Lizzy. Nonetheless, I am very happy for her.
I cannot believe this news! I thought that Darcy would never find a woman worthy enough to marry and I never thought that Lizzy would accept his proposal. He was not very agreeable towards her the times they were together. I hope that they are very happy together. I know that Lizzy would not marry him if she knew she would be unhappy.
